Monetizing a Bank Guarantee means to raise finance (or a credit line) against it.

In order to raise a credit line against a Bank Guarantee, it is important that the Bank Guarantee is worded specifically for the purpose of securing a credit line.

Raising credit against Bank Guarantees that are issued for other purposes, generally may not be possible.
